Michele Hallahan brings over 15 years of experience in the fields of environmental innovation and sustainability to EcoLogic. Her areas of expertise include environmental efficiency practices, water conservation, chemical use and inventory, NPDES and SPCC regulations and LEED guidance. Michele is a LEED AP (BD+C) and contributed to LEED buildings on University of Texas Austin, the fourth largest university in the USA. She is a certified Permaculturist in addition to being LEED AP, which adds building with natural materials and sustainable land use practices to her expertise.
Michele worked with Dr. John Todd, the internationally renowned and award winning ecological designer, in the 1990s on Living Machines(TM), the patented ecological and bioremediative wastewater treatment plants. She has worked with environmental standards certification (such as ISO 14001 and Green Seal standards) for 10 years in addition to consulting and training for standards. She is a national and international public speaker on environmental awareness, sustainability and efficiency practices. She co-authored the book “Source – A Guide to Sustainable Living in Ireland” which was critically acclaimed by the Irish Times.
